The Spring Grove YMCA is looking for a compassionate and energetic Assistant Teacher to support our Child Development program. In this role, you'll help create a safe, engaging learning environment where children can develop academically, socially, and emotionally while building a strong foundation for future success.

Schedule

Monday-Friday
Shifts vary between 6:30 AM and 5:30 PM

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum, activities, and daily classroom routines.
• Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through engaging learning experiences.
• Supervise children at all times and help maintain a safe, organized classroom environment.
• Provide accommodations and support for children with diverse learning and developmental needs.

Qualifications

• Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required or ability to obtain.
• Mandated Reporter Certification required or ability to obtain.
• PA State Police Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, NSOR Clearance, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance required.
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.

Compensation

$15.00-$17.00 per hour
