The Greater Philadelphia YMCA offers a Part Time, Hourly position with pay between $17.00 and $18.00 per hour. The role requires a degree in education or a related human services field and at least 2 years (2500 hours) of childcare experience.

You will help children learn through engaging curricula, support families with positive communication, and uphold safety and quality standards across YMCA programs. A comprehensive benefits package and YMCA membership are included.

Qualifications

• Proof of an achieved degree from an accredited college or university in education or human services related field as defined by the appropriate state licensing agency.
• 2+ years (2500 hours) childcare experience.

Responsabilités

• Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn.
• Being patient and kind with our parents.
• Being a role model by making a positive, lasting difference in the lives of children and their families.
• Cultivating a sensitive, patient early learning environment for both children and families.
• Planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Supervising each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment.
• Upholding all YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare.
• Maintaining a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
