Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA in Mount Laurel Township, NJ, is seeking an assistant teacher who loves working with kids and building community. This full-time, hourly role offers opportunities to connect with families and contribute to engaging activities.

The position involves planning age-appropriate curricula, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and supporting personal care routines. A high school diploma and 2 years (2500 hours) of verified childcare experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Cultivate a sensitive, patient childcare environment for both children and families.
• Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
• Supervise each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment.
• Uphold all YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare.
