Job summary

IMS is seeking an Assistant Distribution Manager to oversee packaging and shipping in our Atlanta, GA distribution facility. You will report to the Distribution Manager and may work a changing schedule.

Key requirements include at least four years in distribution and project management, experience with WMS and RF systems, and a proactive, cost-conscious leadership style. Strong communication and team leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of distribution and project management experience.
• Experience starting up new clients & facilities, working with WMS & RF and Six Sigma experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Account service – plan projects with client teams and project managers.
• P&L: manage monthly forecasts and control expenses.
• Inventory management and receiving/ shipping controls.
• Project management: plan staff, space, and supplies for projects.
• Quality assurance to meet client requirements.
• Oversee kit pack-out and distribution for accurate, on-time delivery.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2008 procedures.
• Close out projects including system work, cleanup, and invoicing.
• Assist in staffing, training, and performance management.
• Ensure safety and OSHA compliance.
