Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Program Director with hiring, training, supervision, and weekly performance reporting. The role involves intake processing, coordinating participant staffing, and ensuring service hours meet program and referring authority requirements.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3–5 years in youth services or juvenile justice, and at least 1 year in supervision. Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
• Three to five years related experience in youth services, juvenile justice, community programs, or program development.
• At least one year related experience in management/supervision.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with electronic health systems is a plus.
• Requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Program Director with hiring and training new employees, motivating staff, and supervising daily activities.
• Communicate weekly performance to the Director.
• Perform intakes and coordinate participant staffing; manage delivery of participant service hours while ensuring compliance with YAP and referring authority requirements.
