Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) seeks a part-time Program Coordinator to support the Johnson County program and work with the Program Director.

The role covers up to 20 hours per week with flexible evenings and weekends as needed. The position responsibilities include coordinating daily operations, managing intake and enrollment, ensuring compliance, and providing direct advocacy and crisis support to youth and families in home, school, and community settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with commensurate experience in community-based agency programs.
• At least one year experience managing personnel and budgets.
• Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written.
• Bilingual/Spanish speaking strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily program operations and administrative activities to support effective service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, program policies, and documentation standards.
• Manage participant intake, assessment, referral, and enrollment processes.
• Collaborate with program leadership to achieve goals and maintain quality services.
• Provide direct advocacy and support services to youth and families in home, school, and community settings.
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor with a strength-based, family-centered approach.
• Conduct comprehensive intakes, assessments, and ongoing evaluations of participant needs.
• Develop individualized safety plans and support strategies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and ISP development.
• Provide crisis intervention services and respond to participant needs, including 24/7 support as required.
• Maintain regular contact with participants, families, providers, and community partners.
