Joan & Alan Bernikow JCC of Staten Island seeks a part-time Program Supervisor to support the Cornerstone after-school program serving NYCHA residents and surrounding communities. You will oversee the after-school program, supervise staff, manage scheduling, and ensure DYCD compliance while maintaining the JCC’s mission and providing engaging activities for youth and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years’ supervisory youth-serving experience.
• Minimum of 30 hours training every two years.
• Three letters of recommendation.
• Criminal history clearance.
• NYS Department of Health fingerprinted.
• State Central Registry clearance documentation are required.
• Updated physical and tuberculosis/PPD skin test, to be completed every two years.
• Proficient computer knowledge and skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and programmatic skills.
• Detail oriented and well organized.
• Flexible and able to handle multiple projects at the same time.
• Innovative, imaginative and provide a positive role model for participants and staff.
• Independent judgment, initiative and advanced administrative skills.
• Both weekend and evening hours on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate programs and services for youth in after-school program.
• Maintain registrations and program paperwork; manage scheduling and events.
• Supervise teachers, group leaders, and consultants; staff development.
• Coordinate transportation and scheduling with relevant departments.
• Develop marketing/public relations for after-school program with Marketing Director.
• Ensure DYCD and DOH regulations are followed and conduct site inspections as needed.
• Maintain data and reports for DYCD and funders; manage program records.
