Job summary

Cornerstone Group Leader at Cornerstone Community Center in Brooklyn, NY 11214 seeks a part-time leader to supervise youth and adults, coordinate activities, and support program operations. This role is based at a NYCHA center with weekly hours that include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Punctual and reliable; availability including evenings and weekends.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • NYC DOH Fingerprinting Screening/State clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely supervise assigned group of participants.
  • Coordinate and facilitate scheduled program activities including snacks, field trips, events, and transitions.
  • Take attendance, log accidents/incidents, and ensure safe dismissal of youth participants.
  • Be a positive role model and promote teamwork and respect.
  • Communicate professionally with participants of all ages.
  • Intervene and problem-solve conflicts; report emergencies to on-site supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe environment and collaborate with staff.
