Job summary

Cape Cod Community College in Hyannis, MA seeks an Assistant Director for the Center for Community and Professional Education to lead day-to-day operations and strategic execution across CCAPE's open enrollment, career/technical trainings, and employer-focused initiatives.

The role provides direct supervision to Senior Managers, a Staff Assistant, and the Marketing & Digital Media Specialist, while guiding program coordinators and grant management to deliver high-quality learner and partner

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Workforce Development, or related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in continuing education or workforce development.
• Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience in program development, curriculum management, and scheduling of training programs or instructors.
• Knowledge of employer engagement, contract training, and/or apprenticeship program models.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Understanding of the needs of underserved populations in the Cape Cod region.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of CCAPE and serve as the internal point of contact for staff questions and workflows.
• Translate departmental goals into actionable team priorities and monitor progress.
• Provide supervisory oversight to Senior Managers, Staff Assistant, and Marketing & Digital Media Specialist.
• Foster regular team meetings and ensure accountability across all functional areas.
• Oversee CCAPE's two portfolios: Career/Technical Education and Employer Engagement.
• Provide guidance to advance CCAPE's private employer engagement strategy and contracts.
• Support open enrollment revenue targets and strategic partnerships with MassHire boards and other partners.
• Oversee budgeting, procurement, and reporting for CCAPE programs.
