Job summary

Savannah Technical College is seeking an Assistant Director for Student Support Services to provide leadership and strategic direction for programs that promote student access, engagement, retention, persistence, completion, and success. Reporting to the Director of Career & Student Success, you will oversee accessibility and retention efforts and guide staff in delivering accommodations and interventions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in student services, accessibility services, advising, retention, case management, student success programs, or a related area. Note: Related experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and administrative oversight for Student Support Services programs, initiatives, and activities that support student success, retention, persistence, and completion.
• Supervises, trains, evaluates, and provides ongoing guidance to the Coordinator of Accessibility and Retention and other assigned staff.
• Oversees the delivery of accessibility and accommodation services, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies.
• Assists the Director of Career & Student Success in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that support student engagement, retention, and academic achievement.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates student support programs and intervention strategies designed to improve student outcomes.
