Job summary

Butler University is seeking an Associate Director of Student Activities–Student Organizations/Leadership Development to advance the development and support of 200+ student organizations. You will train leaders, develop curricula, and coordinate co-curricular programs that boost wellbeing and engagement, collaborating with campus stakeholders to align with the university’s strategic plan.

The role emphasizes risk management, policy compliance, and leadership initiatives, with oversight of Engage

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or related field with 2+ years of related experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Experience advising college students.
• Understanding of college student development theory.
• Experience working with students to ensure compliance with university policies in events, travel, and operations.
• Expertise planning and implementing skill-based training and leadership development programming.
• Proficiency with Engage, EMS and social media/tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administrative leadership training for 200+ student orgs.
• Deliver and evaluate leadership curriculum.
• Guide student orgs in policy compliance and risk management.
• Oversee Butler Engage software for monitoring involvement.
• Supervise and mentor Student Leadership Consultants.
• Develop and assess student org policies with risk mitigation.
• Plan annual Student Involvement Fair and other programs.
• Collaborate with faculty/staff to increase student involvement.
