Job Summary

The ADON/Restorative Nurse is an experienced Registered Nurse responsible for ensuring current care plans and MDS documentation for all residents. They oversee nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to ensure assessments meet federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as facility policies.

Essential Functions
  • Review and revise department policies and procedures annually.
  • Oversee Restorative Program and assessments.
  • Maintain current copies of the RAI manual and utilize it for accurate coding in MDS software.
  • Coordinate development of resident care plans, ensuring they are resident-centered, measurable, and multidisciplinary.
  • Lead resident care plan conferences and communicate with residents and families.
  • Conduct staff training on RAI processes and documentation.
  • Monitor resident medical records for consistency and compliance.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Physical Requirements
  • Current, unencumbered RN license.
  • CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Knowledge of OBRA, IDPH, IDPA, and DQA standards.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
  • Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff, and agencies.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work harmoniously with personnel.
  • Physical ability to move throughout the workday and cope with job stress.
  • Good sensory abilities or use of prosthetics.
  • Willingness to work with ill, disabled, and emotionally upset individuals, with exposure to infectious waste and diseases.
  • Computer proficiency.
