Job summary

University of Pittsburgh is seeking an Institutional Engagement and Learning Development Assistant Director to advance a culture of belonging, wellbeing, and engagement across the campus community. The role leads education, training, and workshops shaped by adult learning principles and equity commitments.

Hybrid work with collaboration across HR and Student Affairs, delivering cross-cultural programs and evaluating impact to inform strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, HR, education, or related field.
• Four+ years designing and facilitating education, training or workshops in higher education or organizational setting.
• Experience collaborating with SMEs and cross-functional partners to develop content.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
• Excellent project management with multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and evidence-based approaches.
• Commitment to equity and inclusive learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver education, professional development, and workshop programming to advance belonging, wellbeing, and engagement.
• Develop and facilitate workshops and learning series in-person and virtual.
• Collaborate with internal/external SMEs to co-develop strategies for campus impact.
• Conduct needs assessments to keep programming relevant for a diverse campus.
• Build a library of educational resources supporting asynchronous learning.
• Coordinate with HR to align with workforce development and training.
• Establish evaluation frameworks and track program metrics.
• Stay current on workplace wellbeing and adult learning best practices in higher education.
• Represent the office in university committees and working groups.
