Job summary

The University of Delaware is seeking an Assistant Director, Education and Dialogue in SDI to lead educational programming for students and advance belonging and inclusion across campus. Reporting to the Director of SDI, you will design workshops and dialogues, supervise staff, and collaborate with the Center for Intercultural Engagement to foster an inclusive environment for all students.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with a minimum of four (4) years of higher education administration leadership experience.
• Exemplary facilitation and advising skills with students, faculty, and staff.
• Outstanding interpersonal and community relations skills, and the ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Direct peer educator programs related to inclusivity and intercultural learning, including logistics and scheduling.
• Oversee inclusion and belonging workshops and trainings, including curriculum development and assessment.
• Oversee signature educational programs, including first-year seminar education modules and new student orientation initiatives.
• Advise undergraduate and graduate student organizations regarding event planning and budget responsibilities.
• Support the Center for Intercultural Engagement’s space and student organizations.
• Develop and facilitate intercultural training and educational programs for students.
• Develop resources and training for student leaders to foster belonging and inclusive campus culture.
• Build outreach strategies to advocate for students and support inclusive experiences.
