Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an Assistant Director of Development to strengthen its philanthropic program. Working with colleagues in Philanthropic Relations and across the department, the role focuses on qualification, cultivation, and solicitation of gifts up to $250K to build a pipeline of unrestricted support and future major donors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of fundraising or related experience.
• Experience devising and implementing cultivation and solicitation strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in data entry and reporting.
• Ability to motivate, engage, and work with diverse audiences.
• Experience with Blackbaud CRM (Raiser's Edge) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Qualify, cultivate, and solicit gifts up to $250K.
• Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors.
• Document activity in the database.
• Collaborate across departments to align unrestricted and restricted fundraising efforts.
• Solicit and close new and renewed gifts, including planned gifts.
• Stay informed about fundraising trends and Mass General Brigham programs.
