Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an Assistant Director of Development to strengthen philanthropic programs by qualifying, cultivating, and soliciting gifts up to $250K. You will manage a portfolio of prospects and donors, achieve annual fundraising metrics, and collaborate with Philanthropic Relations and department leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in fundraising, with strong written and verbal communication, and experience with donor databases and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 3–5 years of fundraising or related experience.
• Ability to devise and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies.
• Proficiency in data entry, data management and reporting; strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors, applying personalized cultivation.
• Solicit and close gifts including outright, planned gifts, and gifts of assets.
• Document all activity in the donor database and report on performance metrics.
• Collaborate with directors of development, physicians, and leadership to align unrestricted and restricted fundraising efforts.
