Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, seeks an Assistant Director of Environmental Services for the 2nd shift in Detroit, MI. You will assist in managing the EVS department within budget, policies and regulatory requirements while coordinating with the client to maximize value.

You will lead staff, foster interdepartmental relationships, and promote professional growth within the team, ensuring an inspection-ready, compliant environment across the facility.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree preferred and three to five years EVS/Housekeeping experience in a retirement or adult home.
• CHESP certification highly desirable; strong customer service skills required.
• Experience with Federal & State healthcare surveys and P&L accountability is valued.
• Contract-managed service experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a sanitary, attractive and orderly environment in the department.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises department functions.
• Conducts regular management staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Keeps the department inspection-ready and compliant with regulations.
• Maintains excellent client relations and participates in community activities.
• Encourages staff development and implements environmental program changes.
