Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, is seeking an Assistant Director of Environmental Services (Evenings) to support the Director of Environmental Services and lead housekeeping operations in a hospital setting.

You will supervise Operations Managers, coordinate tasks with hospital departments, and maintain service quality. The role emphasizes staff development, scheduling, budgeting support, and delivering exceptional patient care and facility cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Working knowledge of housekeeping procedures preferred.
• Progressive growth in healthcare housekeeping/maintenance desirable.
• Strong work ethic, initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and oral communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage staff participatively, stay organized under stress, and develop budgets.
• Excellent stress management and administrative/organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews standards and procedures for Housekeeping staff.
• Plans work schedules, hours, and job duties to ensure adequate services.
• Interviews, hires, evaluates, and recommends termination of staff.
• Orients, trains, and supervises all Housekeeping staff.
• Performs regular inspections and recommends actions; supports relocations.
• Conducts staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Schedules major projects and ensures adequate staffing and supplies.
• Conducts regular inventory of housekeeping supplies.
• Assists Department Director with budgets.
