Job summary

Bright Horizons seeks a Child Care Assistant Director to partner with the Center Director in leading a safe, high‑quality early childhood center. You will help guide daily operations, mentor teachers, and build strong relationships with families to ensure exceptional care and learning experiences.

You will support educational programming, maintain licensing standards, and actively contribute to a positive center culture.

Qualifications

• Associate or higher degree in early childhood education, education, or child development related field is required; bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least two years of leadership experience in high-quality child care, daycare, or preschool settings is required.
• Strong understanding of center quality, compliance, health, safety and licensing standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Uphold mission, culture, and values to ensure an inclusive environment and strong relationships with families, staff, and clients.
• Monitor program quality, ensuring children’s learning is documented and visible.
• Ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards, health and safety protocols, and company policies.
• Fulfill mandated reporter requirements per state agency; report suspected child abuse or neglect.
