Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Child Care Assistant Director in Portland, ME to help guide daily operations and support high standards of care, learning, and safety. You’ll mentor teachers, partner with the Center Director, and cultivate meaningful family relationships to ensure a thriving center.

You will lead by example, oversee programming, and drive center quality within Bright Horizons’ policies, offering career development and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or higher degree in early childhood education, education, or child development related field is required; bachelor’s degree is preferred
• At least two years of leadership experience in high-quality child care, daycare, or preschool settings is required
• Strong understanding of center quality, compliance, health, safety and licensing standards is required

Responsibilities

• Monitor program quality and make learning visible to families
