Job summary

EY, a global professional services firm, is seeking an Assistant Director – Data Engineering & Analytics Platforms to shape enterprise data, analytics and AI capabilities across the organization. You’ll partner with business leaders, architects and engineering teams to establish technical direction, deliver modern data platforms and build solutions that create measurable business value.

You’ll help lead the design and delivery of advanced data and AI solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of data engineering and analytics delivery experience.
• Experience leading development teams and architecture decisions.
• Hands-on with enterprise data/platform solutions on Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong knowledge of data ingestion, modeling, orchestration, testing and production support.
• Experience guiding onshore/offshore delivery and knowledge transfer.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing technical risks, dependencies and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for data, analytics and AI platform initiatives from requirements to production support.
• Guide architecture and solution-design decisions ensuring security, scalability, quality.
• Lead technical workstreams and multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing and deployment.
• Review data pipelines, platform integrations and analytics solutions for performance and reliability.
• Manage risks, dependencies, priorities and delivery timelines with governance.
• Identify and remove barriers; coach and mentor team members and promote best practices.
• Communicate risks, options and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead onshore and offshore transitions with knowledge transfer and post-transition support.
