Job summary

Learning Care Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director to help run a safe, nurturing child care center in Metuchen, NJ. You will work with the School Director to oversee daily operations and support teachers, parents, and children.

In the Director’s absence you’ll assume responsibility for the school, drive the center’s safety vision, and promote social, physical, and intellectual growth through engaging activities and strong team leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience in a licensed childcare setting.
• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility is required (minimum 1 year).
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must meet state requirements for education and center requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the school operates safely and in line with company and state standards.
• Assist in promoting social, physical, and intellectual growth of children.
• In the Director’s absence, assume sole responsibility for the school.
• Partner with the School Director and staff to deliver a high-quality program.

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have previous leadership experience and at least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements.

Compensation/Benefits:

• Compensation of $22.78/starting hourly based on Position, Education and Experience. Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options.
