Job summary

Grand Living in Cedar Rapids, IA, seeks an Assistant Dining Supervisor to elevate resident dining experiences through oversight and culinary training of dining staff. This role supports multiple venues—Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations memory care, and Club Room—and assists with special events and private functions under the Dining Manager, in line with community standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in food & beverage in upscale settings, a High School Diploma or GED, and strong

Qualifications

• Three or more years in Food & Beverage in country club, fine dining, restaurant, or upscale senior living hospitality.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English to direct and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the overall Resident dining experience through oversight and training.
• Provide culinary training to dining staff and uphold service standards.
• Assist in delivery of culinary activities for all dining venues: Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations memory care and Club Room.
• Support special events and private functions; operate under Dining Manager guidance.
