Job summary

Grand Living is seeking a Health & Wellness Assistant to provide compassionate care and support independence for residents at Cedar Rapids community. You will assist with activities of daily living, medication administration where licensed, and participate in memory care programs to enhance daily life.

The role emphasizes relationship-building with residents and families, teamwork with Culinary, Lifestyle and Hospitality groups, and delivering First Class Happiness to guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA/CMA credentials preferred or required by state and assignment.
• Experience with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, communication, and toileting.
• Support residents per personalized care plans while promoting dignity and independence.
• Observe residents and report changes to the nursing team.
• Provide medication assistance and administration per state rules when licensed.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families in a warm, engaging atmosphere.
• Participate in community activities, wellness programs, dining experiences, and events.
• Collaborate with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to deliver a great resident experience.
• Ensure documentation for services provided or declined is complete.
