Job summary

Floor & Decor in Denton, TX seeks a Training and Development professional to prepare Product Sales Specialists and ensure exceptional customer service and product knowledge. You will lead certifications and reinforce the basic P’s of retail across the store.

The role requires 1 year of customer service/sales experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act in a manner consistent with Floor & Decor core values.
• Demonstrate safe lifting practices.
• Drive and teach the basic P’s of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing.
• Provide direction to product sales specialists to ensure high levels of customer service.
• Complete all product specialist certification courses.
• Demonstrate understanding of merchandise and installation.
• Manage department merchandising, pricing and organization.
• Communicate SOPs to associates in a timely manner.
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification.
• Communicate inventory needs to management.
• Direct and assist merchandise processing to showroom floor.
• Validate product placement and pricing within the department.
• Greet customers and assist with product questions and selections.
• Process check-out and refunds per guidelines.
• Present ‘how-to’ classes to customers.
• Follow payment procedures and answer phones as required.
• Stock and tag merchandise displays and create price tags/signs.
