Pay Range:

$15.50- $24.50

Summary

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper Customers. Responsible for maintaining a neat and clean deli operation in accordance with all corporate and state sanitation guidelines. Manages product ordering and inventory levels to promote sales opportunities. Assists the deli manager with budgeting and financial tasks. Oversees department clerks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
2. Greet customers with a smile, make eye contact, and thank them upon fulfilling requests.
3. Maintain a clean and organized work station.
4. Assist the deli manager with daily operations, including scheduling, inventory, and financial tasks.
5. Merchandise deli products with proper pricing, rotation, and display.
6. Prepare in-store made foods and chicken for the Roaster Chicken program.
7. Perform sanitation duties according to regulations, including cleaning equipment and work areas.
8. Stock deli warehouse orders.
9. Operate departmental equipment such as scales and slicers.
10. Maintain logs for cold cases, hot foods, and cooling as per store policy.
11. Work efficiently within company standards and control shrinkage.
12. Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to company policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to manage others and ensure follow-through on results.
• Good performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic literacy and computer skills.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; 6-12 months of related experience.

Physical Requirements

• Occasional exposure to hot and cold environments (1-3 hours).
• Constant standing and walking (5-8 hours).
• Dexterity in hands, frequent bending, twisting, and squatting.
• Occasional pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Equipment Used

Operate deli equipment such as scales, slicers, and other tools.
