Qualificações

• Master’s degree in higher education, curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, or a closely related field.
• Teaching experience in a college setting.
• Progressive experience in faculty development, academic support, or academic administration.
• Experience working in a community college setting.
• At least 3–4 years of supervision experience.
• Demonstrated experience with online learning platforms, such as Brightspace (D2L).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across faculty, staff, and governance bodies.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity-focused teaching and student success frameworks.

Responsabilidades

• Oversight and coordination of the Center of Innovation, Teaching, and Learning (CITL).
• Supervises the CITL Faculty Coordinator and advising staff.
• Ensures professional development aligns with the college’s strategic plan.
• Tracks faculty participation and outcomes of professional development activities.
• Oversees assessment of professional development activities.
• Stays current with higher education research related to teaching and learning.
• Contributes to academic innovation through best practices and new technologies.
• Leads faculty onboarding initiatives for full-time and part-time faculty.
• Manages faculty tenure and promotion processes in collaboration with CAO and HR.
• Oversees online learning, including faculty training for Brightspace and course quality standards.
• Leads initiatives to strengthen teaching effectiveness and inclusive pedagogy.
• Implements holistic advising and coaching model; oversees holistic student support.
• Participates in creation of an academic master plan and oversees academic appeals process.
