Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience at a 2 or 4 year community college or institution of higher education.
• Demonstrated leadership and assessment experience.
• Experience with curriculum development and program assessment processes.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, deans, administrators and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for institutional assessment, academic program review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee development, revision, approval, and discontinuance of curricula, courses, certificates, and academic programs.
• Serve as the administrative liaison to the Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee, Program Review, and General Education Committees.
• Provide leadership and oversight for academic support services to promote student retention, persistence, and completion.
• Direct the development, implementation, and periodic review of academic policies and procedures.
• Coordinate institutional compliance with SUNY, NYSED, accreditation, and other regulatory requirements related to academic affairs.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Office of Academic Affairs and SUNY, NYSED, and other external agencies on curriculum and academic programming.
• Oversee articulation agreements, transfer pathways, and academic partnerships with secondary schools, colleges, universities, and community organizations.
• Collaborate with faculty and administrators to identify opportunities for new academic programs, workforce initiatives, and innovative instructional delivery methods.
• Support grant development, implementation, reporting, and assessment activities related to academic initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Vice President of Academic Affairs in academic planning, strategic initiatives, resource allocation, and budget development.
• Represents the Office of Academic Affairs on institutional committees and at College, SUNY, and community meetings.
