Job summary

New York University’s College of Arts & Science (CAS) seeks an experienced Associate Dean to oversee curriculum administration, develop proposals for new seminars and tracks, and build trusted partnerships with faculty and department leaders to advance college-wide priorities.

Reporting to the Dean, the Associate Dean will supervise accreditation, promote curricular innovations, and expand global pathways across NYU's network, including cross-site initiatives and portal campuses.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required for the role.
• Preferred: Doctoral degree in a Liberal Arts subject.
• 10+ years of experience in academic planning, curriculum development, recruitment/admissions, student affairs, and budgeting.
• Experience supervising staff is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of CAS curriculum and policy alignment with accreditation and NYS regulations.
• Develop proposals for new seminars, programs, and tracks; foster cross-school collaboration.
• Advise faculty and departments to reflect changing student and College interests and goals; support retention strategies.
• Coordinate with the Provost to create global curricular pathways and support cross-site initiatives.
