Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking staff to plan, organize, and deliver value-driven skill development programs for participants at Upper Main Line YMCA in Berwyn, PA. Position involves supervising activities, ensuring safety, and promoting YMCA programs.

The role requires at least 16 years old, ability to teach skills, and meaningful experience in a youth program. Training and certifications will be provided within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills.
• Prior knowledge and at least 1 year of experience in program area.

Responsibilities

• Assists with specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
• Assists with demonstrations, classroom management, student support, and class preparation.
• Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in the program.
• Manages all equipment to ensure safety.
• Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
• Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
• Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
• Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications / What You’ll Need

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills
• Prior knowledge and at least 1 year of experience in program area
• Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
• Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
