Job summary

Aduro Advisors is seeking an Assistant Controller to support top-tier venture capital and private equity clients. You will manage client relationships, oversee monthly close, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality technical work.

This role blends leadership with hands-on accounting and teamwork in a flexible, remote work setup across the US. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of alt-asset experience, strong US GAAP expertise, and proficiency in Excel with Xero or QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in the alternative asset industry; Venture Capital and/or Private Equity experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and partnership accounting including complex allocations.
• Experience in a client-facing role leading engagements on multiple clients.
• Resourceful, driven with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for multiple clients and manage workflow among Aduro team members.
• Set up and run recurring client check-in calls with status updates and upcoming needs.
• Respond to ad-hoc client requests in a timely, professional manner per Aduro processes.
