Job summary

Bullpen, a growing real estate investment and operating firm, is hiring an Assistant Controller to lead day-to-day accounting across a multi-entity platform. Reporting to the CFO, you will own the monthly close, strengthen financial reporting, and develop junior staff while partnering on budget and cash forecasting.

Qualifications

• Ownership of monthly close and financial reporting across a multi-entity platform.
• Strong intercompany accounting experience and allocations.
• Experience supervising junior staff and reviewing work.
• High proficiency in Excel and linking accounting results to business activity.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and cash planning.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close across corporate, related, and investment entities with accurate statements.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and workpapers.
• Manage intercompany accounting including allocations and settlements.
• Supervise and develop two junior accounting staff and review their work.
• Coordinate external accounting resources and bring capabilities in-house.
