Job summary

Coda Search│Staffing is assisting a multi-billion private equity firm hire a Junior Assistant Controller for its Corporate Finance Team. This hands-on role reports to the Controller and CFO and sits in a small, collaborative group.

You will own corporate reporting, budgeting/forecasting, allocations, and process improvements as the finance platform modernizes. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of accounting experience (US GAAP) and a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, with NetSuite or similar

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of accounting experience, asset management/private equity/public accounting preferred.
• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance required.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, accrual accounting, reconciliations, and close.
• Familiarity with multi-entity structures and expense allocations (GP structures) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close for the management company and related entities (journal entries, accruals, prepaids, amortization, fixed assets)
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Review general ledger coding and ensure costs are properly attributed (department/entity)
• Build supporting analyses for monthly/quarterly reporting
• Assist with expense allocations and chargebacks, helping resolve discrepancies and keep balances current
• Support budgeting/forecasting and budget-to-actual variance analysis
• Assist with audit support (PBC schedules, workpapers) and basic controls documentation
• Partner cross-functionally (controller/CFO, fund accounting, external providers) on ad hoc projects and process improvements

A Multi-Billion Private Equity Firm is looking to hire an Junior Assistant Controller for their Corporate Finance Team. This role will report to Controller and CFO. The team has about 3ppl and all young professionals with strong internal collaboration.

Will be responsible for Corporate reporting. This is a hands-on role with strong exposure to budgeting/forecasting, allocations/chargebacks, and process improvement as the team modernizes its finance platform.

What We’re Looking For

• NetSuite (or similar multi-entity ERP) preferred; Concur a plus
• Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow in asset management accounting
