Job summary

Pinion is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead PAS client engagements, coordinating bookkeepers, controllers, tax and A&A teams to deliver accurate financial statements and timely closes. You will drive report packages and client onboarding while supervising a small accounting team.

The role emphasizes process improvement, strong communication, and hands‑on accounting expertise within a client‑facing environment. This position offers flexible work options including remote arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, required.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with financial reporting and presenting client deliverables.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience valued.
• Experience working with agricultural clients is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with bookkeepers, controllers, tax, and A&A teams to deliver timely, accurate client results.
• Review financial statements and close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Supervise 2–4 bookkeepers and mentor team members.
• Develop and document standardized accounting processes and client-specific workflows.
• Support accounting systems and software usage for internal teams and clients.
