Job summary

Pinion is seeking an Assistant Controller on the PAS team to coordinate between bookkeepers, controllers, tax, and A&A for accurate client deliverables. You’ll balance hands‑on accounting with project leadership and client service.

You will oversee 2–4 bookkeepers, support monthly closes, and help enhance reporting packages while collaborating with leadership and clients across agriculture-focused engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with financial reporting.
• Demonstrated success in preparing and presenting accounting client deliverables
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience is valued
• Experience working with agricultural clients is a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data gathering from bookkeepers and other teams.
• Implement client reporting requirements per service agreements.
• Assist onboarding and setup of accounting processes and deliverables.
• Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
• Lead and mentor 2-4 bookkeepers.
• Develop standardized accounting processes and workflows.
• Provide system and software support to clients.
