Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the accounting function during a period of rapid growth backed by private equity. The role reports to executive leadership and focuses on building financial infrastructure to support acquisitions.

You will own cash management, monthly close, and financial analysis while mentoring the accounting team and driving process improvements to strengthen controls in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Leadership experience managing accounting staff.
• Strong cash management, financial close, and financial analysis experience.
• Experience working in rapidly growing, acquisition-driven organizations.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables and lookup functions.

Responsibilities

• Own the cash management process, including weekly 13-week rolling cash forecasts and reporting for leadership and private equity ownership.
• Manage the monthly close process, financial reporting package preparation, journal entry approvals, and account reconciliation reviews.
• Perform financial analysis including month-over-month, quarterly, trend, indirect expense, and SG&A analysis.
• Lead and develop accounting team members, including oversight of the AP Manager and Senior Accountant.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls to support continued growth and acquisitions.
