This is more than just a technical accounting role — it’s an opportunity to lead a dynamic team, help shape the direction of the accounting function, and collaborate cross-functionally with senior leadership across multiple business units.
💼 What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of ~15, including managers, seniors, and staff.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including full ownership of the monthly close process.
- Perform and review complex reconciliations and high-dollar journal entries.
- Conduct and document technical accounting research; prepare memos and present conclusions.
- Review and present balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses to senior management.
- Manage and oversee areas such as lease accounting (ASC 842), equity comp, goodwill impairment (ASC 350), and acquisition accounting.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Assist in managing the consolidated chart of accounts.
- Maintain compliance with US GAAP and ensure effectiveness of internal controls (SOX).
- Identify and implement process improvements with a continuous improvement mindset.
✅ What You Bring
- 8–12 years of accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and industry roles.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
- Deep expertise in US GAAP and technical accounting topics.
- Demonstrated experience in fast-paced, complex organizations (multi-entity or PE-backed preferred).
- Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, or PeopleSoft).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, PowerPivot.
