Job summary

CFS in Wisconsin seeks an Assistant Controller to lead the month-end close, oversee cash forecasting and internal controls, and drive improvements in financial reporting during a growth phase.

You will manage and develop the accounting team, partner with executive leadership and the CFO, and contribute to acquisitions and strategic finance initiatives. A Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 8+ years' progressive accounting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience including financial reporting and month-end close.
• Prior leadership experience managing accounting staff.
• Strong experience with general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and cash management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee cash management, including rolling 13-week cash forecasting and liquidity planning.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analyses.
• Manage accounting team members, including AP and accounting staff, while developing department talent.
• Support audits, consolidations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, lease accounting, and internal controls.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
