Job summary

Reworld is hiring an Assistant Control Room Operator to work under supervision and support the safe operation of turbine generators and related systems. The role requires data logging, monitoring equipment, and responding to abnormal conditions with guidance from the Shift Supervisor and Control Room Operator.

Candidates should have water treatment knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow procedures.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in a refuse to energy facility with a thorough understanding of water treatment systems.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to inspect equipment to ensure optimal operations of machinery.
• Formal technical or apprentice training is desirable, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect turbine generator, boilers and associated systems as assigned.
• Record data and report equipment malfunctions or trends indicating trouble.
• Take actions to correct abnormal operating conditions or emergencies as directed.
