Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support project leadership across diverse industrial sectors in Wisconsin. You will assist with safety, schedule, cost control, procurement, and field operations on commercial and energy projects.

This role requires a bachelor's degree and construction experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to coordinate with subcontractors and clients to deliver on-time, within budget outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, construction management, engineering, or related field and 3 years of relevant construction experience required.
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in aviation, commercial, energy, manufacturing, or water industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Construction Project Manager with day-to-day management of project safety, quality, schedule and cost control.
• Coordinate procurement, contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and documentation.
• Prepare RFPs, assist in scope development, bid processes, and contract documents.
• Support project status reporting, risk reviews, and audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project plans across projects.
