Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Site Manager to lead on-site administration and technical management for large industrial construction projects across multiple locations in the US. You will supervise field staff, coordinate with subcontractors, ensure safety compliance, and maintain project schedules and budgets.

You will engage with clients and authorities, review engineering deliverables, and oversee turn-over documents for startup teams. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 17 years of construction management or craft supervision on a similar project.
• Associate degree with 19 years of construction management or craft supervision on a similar project.
• High school diploma/GED with 21 years of construction management or craft supervision on a similar project.
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills across field personnel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day on-site administrative and technical management of all field personnel and subcontractors.
• Direct and supervise on-site discipline leads, scheduling, engineering, cost control, and staff.
• Ensure safety compliance with Safety and Health Plans and review PTAs/TSOs regularly.
• Oversee construction progress, quality, budget, and schedule adherence.
• Interface with clients, authorities, and other contractors to execute projects.
• Coordinate with engineering and project management to plan deliverables and procedures.
• Authorize field procurements and approve subcontractor payments under supervision.
• Manage startup/commissioning interfaces and final turnover documentation.
