Job summary

HNN Communities in Renton, WA seeks an Assistant Community Manager to support day-to-day operations, leasing, and compliance across tax-credit housing programs. You will assist the Community Manager with marketing, resident relations, and financial tasks, ensuring exceptional service and regulatory compliance.

The role requires at least 2 years in property management, strong leasing and operational skills, and proficiency with Yardi and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in property management, including sales/multi-family leasing.
• Strong operational background and leasing skills.
• Prefer prior accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Thorough knowledge of Federal Fair Housing and applicable regulations.
• Knowledge of Section 42 LIHTC program and compliance processes preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and property management software, preferably Yardi.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. (I-9).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Community Manager in daily operations for the community.
• Perform assigned accounting tasks including rent, fees, and payments; process month end activities.
• Keep Yardi and resident data up to date.
• Support marketing and leasing efforts including social media, pricing, and collateral.
• Lease and tour apartments; guide applicants through the application and move-in process.
• Administer lease agreements and renewals with compliance.
• Respond to resident questions and address service issues promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospects, and guests.
• Participate in resident events and community programs.
• Assist with LIHTC compliance monitoring and reporting.
