Job summary

CCH - (Christian Church Homes) seeks an Assistant Community Manager for two Oakland senior communities. The role supports efficient, safe management, tenant relations, and regulatory compliance. You will assist with rent collection, marketing, certification, and site inspections to ensure high-quality living environments.

The ACM reports to the Community Manager and collaborates with staff to maintain compliance and resident satisfaction across property operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous property management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HUD/Section 8, Tax Credits, and related systems preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and able to learn other systems quickly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to maintain integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Background checks required after conditional offer.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to caring and positive working and living environments for all employees and residents.
• Model and ensure compliance with CCH policy and funder/regulatory requirements.
• Provide accurate financial recordkeeping and generate reports.
• Perform income re-certifications and maintain resident files.
• Assist in tenant relations and marketing of vacant units per plan.
• Process applications and wait lists in compliance with regulations.
• Collect rents and account for monies collected.
• Assist move-in/move-out and conduct unit inspections.
• Prepare for site inspections (NSPIRE, MOR, audits) with documentation ready.
• Act on behalf of Community Manager during absence.
• Other duties as assigned.
