Job summary

CCH - (Christian Church Homes) seeks an Assistant Community Manager in Oakland, CA to support the management of a senior community. The ACM communicates with residents, staff, and regulators, maintains files, and assists in marketing and compliance processes.

The role is full-time, non-exempt, with responsibilities spanning rent collection, income certifications, inspections, and tenant relations, under the Community Manager’s supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous property management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HUD/Section 8 and Tax Credits preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and related systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Background check required after conditional offer.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient and safe management of an assigned Senior Community.
• Maintain positive rapport with residents, staff, and regulators.
• Provide accurate financial recordkeeping and reports.
• Perform income re-certifications and maintain resident files.
• Assist in tenant relations and marketing of vacant units.
• Process applications and screen to fill vacancies per regulations.
• Collect rent and account for monies received.
• Assist with move‑ins/outs and unit inspections.
• Prepare for site inspections (NSPIRE, MOR, audits) with documentation.
• Act on Community Manager’s behalf during absence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
