Job summary

SRG Residential is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager for our 540-unit community in San Diego, CA. The role supports the Community Manager, oversees day-to-day operations, and helps maximize income while maintaining resident satisfaction.

Salary range is $27.00-$30.00/hour. Benefits include a 401(k) match, rental incentives and renewal compensation, bonuses, and rental discounts depending on location; medical/dental/vision and vacation accrual for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of property management experience with ability to pass fair housing exam.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong math abilities including discounts, percentages and commissions.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Knowledge of property operations software; Outlook, Internet, Excel and Word.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Able to work weekends and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Assumes Community Manager's supervisory responsibilities in absence.
• Assists in training and development of the team; schedules employee work times.
• Reviews rent recommendations and identifies opportunities to maximize income.
• Collects current and delinquent rent; pursues timely legal action; posts invoices; uses PO's; GL coding; submits security deposit reconciliation.
• Reviews move-in/out files for accuracy; ensures data is timely and accurately entered into the property software.
• Prepares and reviews weekly reports; reviews monthly financials with the property manager; assists in variance reports.
• Assists the Community Manager in resolving resident conflicts.
• Follows company and property handbooks, policies and governing documents.
