Job summary

SRG Residential is seeking an Assistant Manager for a 196-unit community, Centro Callan, in San Leandro, CA. The role requires 3+ years of property management experience and the ability to pass a fair housing exam.

You will supervise in the Community Manager's absence, train staff, review rent recommendations, and handle collections with legal actions when needed. Weekend work is required; benefits include 401(k) match and rental discounts.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of related property management experience and be able to pass the fair housing exam.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to calculate figures and apply basic math concepts.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Must have knowledge of property operations software; Outlook, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Assumes Community Manager's supervisory responsibilities in their absence.
• Assists in training and scheduling of staff.
• Reviews rent recommendations and identifies opportunities to maximize income.
• Collects rent and enforces policy, including legal actions when needed.
• Reviews move-in/out files and ensures accurate data in the software system.
• Prepares weekly reports and assists with monthly variance reports.
• Resolves resident conflicts with the Community Manager.
• Follows company handbooks and property policies.
