Job summary

South Oxford Management LLC in Bradenton, FL, is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager and oversee daily operations of an apartment community. The role emphasizes customer service, financial reporting, rent collections, and coordination of maintenance.

Candidates should have leasing experience, a HS diploma, and proficiency with Yardi or similar software; weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least one year of leasing experience in residential property management.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of Yardi and other industry software preferred.
• Detail-oriented with experience in creating financial statements and reports.
• Must be able to walk the property including stairs and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident concerns and coordinate maintenance requests
• Support occupancy and retention goals by following up with residents
• Communicate effectively and build relationships with residents
• Conduct inspections to determine market readiness and cleanliness
• Become a market expert by staying aware of local competition
• Prepare monthly financial close-out and reports
• Process invoices for payment and assist in rent collection and expense control
• Use property management software to record and report financials
• Initiate lease violations, late notices, and evictions as needed
• Work with Community Manager on seamless management and escalation
