Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions at a housing community. You will handle delinquency and rent collections to optimize cash flow and manage operations, staff, leasing, maintenance, and risk under the Community Manager’s supervision.

You will supervise onsite staff, ensure compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing, and support budgeting, reporting, and lease administration while maintaining excellent customer

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately from applicants, current residents, and non-current residents.
• Process and reconcile daily all accounts receivable.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt including late notices, resident and guarantor contact, and evictions.
• Help property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident and non-current resident accounts; bill back utilities where applicable.
• End-of-month closing procedures and reporting.

Education
