Job summary

Valiant Residential in Burleson, TX is seeking an Assistant Community Manager who works closely with the Community Manager to ensure smooth operations, assist with leasing, marketing, and resident relations, and manage financial records.

You will support advertising, show units, screen applicants, update reports, process applications, and assist with renewals while maintaining professional communication with residents and the team.

Qualifications

• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Demonstrate the ability to support and contribute to the community team.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Positive attitude and ability to smile under all circumstances.
• Participate in training to comply with new and existing laws.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and auto insurance.
• Ability to work most weekends.
• Apartment management experience preferred.
• Neat, clean, and professional throughout the workday and/or whenever present in the community.
• Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook.
• Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing advertising materials.
• Assist in showing units and screening applicants.
• Maintain records of rental levels of comparable units in the surrounding area.
• Present creative leasing and marketing ideas.
• Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, and representatives of other companies.
• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria and process applications for approvals.
• Assist in monitoring renewals and follow up on renewal notices.
• Professionally represent the company at all times.
• Accept rental payments and coordinate with the Community Manager.
• Type lease paperwork and input information in Yardi accurately.
