Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of an apartment community on site. You will manage rent collection, budgeting, and staff while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies.

The role emphasizes leasing success, resident relations, and timely financial reporting. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for a bachelor’s degree or 2 years in housing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or two years housing industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years related experience and/or training.
• Basic computer skills and onsite software proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Post all payments and income accurately from applicants and residents.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt: send late notices, contact residents, and file evictions.
• Help property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to accounts and bill back utilities where applicable.
• Perform end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain organized records and audit resident files.
• Walk units and post move-out charges and deposits.
• Supervise onsite staff through training, coaching, and guidance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and Fair Housing guidelines.
• Implement strategic leasing and marketing plans and address resident concerns.
